What began over 20 years ago, hanging bunches of flowers, herbs, and grasses in a barn, has blossomed into a lifelong devotion to floral artistry. Valerie is a grower and floral artist working out of Ashland, Oregon, where she spends her days in an open-air workshop wrapped in jasmine, roses, clematis, and grapevine. Each wreath and garland she creates starts as a conversation with the materials themselves, the way a stem curls, the way colors glow differently with each passing season. Locally grown flowers, foraged twigs, hand-woven vine bases, and the occasional stoop-full of gifts from generous friends all find their way into her work.
For Valerie, finding beauty in nature isn't just an artistic practice - it's a way of life. Every piece she makes is carefully dried, thoughtfully composed, and sent out to nurture someone's home with something real and alive...
